Baby Lucy

Baby Lucy came on June 4, 2012 weighing in at 7lbs. 9.4 oz and 20.5 inches long.

I was 8 days late and had to be induced.  I really wanted to see if it would happen on its own, but I got tired of waiting.  From start to finish it was about 4 1/2 hours long and was a fairly pleasant process.  Such a difference from baby #1.  I had no idea it would go so quickly.  At 11:00 am I told Alan to go get some food.  He walked across the street to Carl's Jr.  and while he was gone I had some major contractions and by the time he came back with his bag of food, I was ready to push.  My Dr. was in the O.R. and had to run across the hospital to get to me in time.  They kept telling me not to push and I couldn't feel too much so it really wasn't that big of a deal.

It all happened really fast and I have an amazing Dr. so there was little to no tearing and Alan got to deliver the baby.

Lucy is such a good little baby.  I think my prayers were heard.  Bruce was so difficult that I think Heavenly Father knew I needed an easier one this time around.   I am so blessed to have her and I look forward to getting to know her little personality.

Family Field Trip #4

So for family field trip #4 we went to Mesa Falls in eastern Idaho.  I have been here many times and I am always amazed at how beautiful and terrifying the falls really are.

We started the trip off by going to warm river to feed the fish.  There are literally hundreds of fish here; maybe even thousands.  We brought a few rolls and fed the fish.  It was fun to see them pop up and eat.  I still find this as fascinating as I did when I was a kid.  My dad brought us here to feed the fish when I was 6 and I still remember it.  I am hoping these family field trips create the same kind of memories for my kids.
I could wipe this kid's nose all day and it would still be a mess.
Grandpa Jack came with us
Karina thought this was pretty fun
Beautiful View
Our next stop was Mesa Falls.  We only did the upper view.  Lucy was only 5 days old at this point so we took it easy.
This was on the way down to the falls.  They weren't so happy on the way back up.  :)
Field trip #4 was a success.  We are behind a few trips so hopefully numbers 5 and 6 will be posted soon!

Capes

Bruce really likes to wear his towel after he gets out of the tub so I decided that he needed a cape.
I ended up making three: one for Bruce, one for Karina, and one for cousin Royce

It was a good idea.  They have been wearing them everyday!
